Finally!

Hi people! Welcome to my post-essay-I'm-still-on-an-adrenaline-high outlet. This is my first attempt to create any sort of homepage, so if it's crap, keep it to yourself. And I plead temporary insanity - I've just finished a 3,947-word Anthropology essay and only got three hours of sleep in a span of 24 hours... going on 25. Anyway, have I already thanked you for dropping by?

Here comes the boring stuff (the introduction). My name's Wan-ching and I'm currently a graduate student at the School of Oriental and African Studies (SOAS) in London. It's a brilliant place, and I live with six other crazy people. I'm studying for my MA in Chinese Studies, which means that I'm taking mad subjects like modern Chinese history, Chinese anthropology and the history of religions in China. Strange, considering that my undergraduate major at Smith was Economics. Not that I was a decent Econ student - I was pathetic.

I just had to mention (at least for the time being) that today is the last day of the year, century and millenium. Amazing. And I'm officially 21 years and 16 days old today. I was never legal all throughout college in the States, but I am now. Not that it means anything. I'm absolute crap at drinking and I've already been legal back home in Malaysia and here in England for three years.

My school! Sadistic British professors who assign essays over the holidays!

Smith College
The institution which will be awarding me my B.A. on May 14, 2000, only that I won't be there - to take grad school exams. Ugh.
